The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falco tries to clinch up.
McClain catches Falco with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


It looks like Max Falco has been cut.
McClain feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Falcos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Falco misses with a looping right.
Falco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McClain manages to avoid it.
As Falco tries to get set, McClain tries to push him back and clinch up but Falco manages to avoid the attempt.
A swing and a miss from McClain.
Falco wants to counter the offense by McClain and move into the clinch position.
A lazy left from McClain finds it's target.
McClain is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Falco is looking to clinch but McClain is avoiding it.
Falco tries to clinch but McClain is having none of it.

and McClain holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Falco is trying to pull guard but McClain has him pressed against the cage.

I was talking to McClain's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

McClain lands with a right to the head.
The referee calls for Falco to work.
Falco misses with a shot to the kidneys.

A nice left hand lands by McClain.
McClain lands a left hand that snaps the head of Falco backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head punch on the inside from Falco fails to land.
McClain lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

McClain lands a big right hand that drops Falco! The killer instinct kicks in and McClain finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by McClain!
