Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gunter Schultz (ranked 2064 p4p, 255 weight class) and Andy Bogard (ranked 2020 p4p, 251 weight class). Schultz's entrance music is Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gunter Schultz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andy Bogard! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bogard lands a head kick. Schultz smiles back at him and beckons him forward. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bogard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Schultz avoids the head kick by Bogard.
Bogard explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The fighters circle momentarily. Schultz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Bogard drops Schultz with a left right combo! Bogard follows him down to the ground into side control.
Schultz is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schultz tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bogard presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Oh Schultz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bogard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Schultz is looking to escape. Bogard prevents Schultz from getting the reversal. Bogard has hold of Schultz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Schultz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bogard moves to back control. Schultz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bogard gets his way!

Schultz feints and as Bogard raises his hands in defense, Schultz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bogard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schultz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Schultz drops back looking for a leg! Bogard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bogard manages to kick Schultz off! Schultz jumps back into Bogard's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bogard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bogard throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
