Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Slevin (ranked 6327 p4p, 546 weight class) and Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 2208 p4p, 233 weight class). Slevin comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Enter Sandman. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Slevin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 42 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Eikmeyer as he checks the leg kick.
Eikmeyer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Slevin cracks Eikmeyer with an open hand slap.

Slevin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eikmeyer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Eikmeyer throws an elbow that misses. Slevin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Eikmeyer's guard. Nice move by Slevin!


Eikmeyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slevin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Eikmeyer has an active guard here but Slevin has managed to pass into half guard.
Slevin is taking a breather. Eikmeyer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Eikmeyer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Slevin pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Eikmeyer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Slevin looking to pass the guard.

Eikmeyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slevin is aware though and is defending well.
Slevin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Eikmeyer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Slevin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Slevin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eikmeyer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slevin has managed to get both his arms back between Eikmeyer's legs - danger averted.
Slevin wants to control from the top but Eikmeyer keeps moving.

Eikmeyer is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Slevin frees his head nicely. Oh but Eikmeyer has switched to an armbar! Slevin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
