Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randell Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Eardley!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eardley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sanchez counters with a nice body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Sanchez blocks the leg kick.
Sanchez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Eardley tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanchez tries to counter with a takedown but Eardley is quick to defend against it.
Eardley throws a nice looking combination but Sanchez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sanchez staying out of range there.

Sanchez gets caught napping as Eardley dives in and scores a takedown. Sanchez manages to retain guard.
Eardley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sanchez looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez has his hands on Eardley's head, controlling the position.
Sanchez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Eardley won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here.

Sanchez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Eardley stays in close to Sanchez's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Eardley throws an overhand right that lands on Sanchez's shoulder, as Sanchez tries to avoid the shot.
Sanchez looks to clinch
and Eardley counters with a series of strikes. Sanchez will be more careful next time no doubt.
Eardley throws a sloppy body shot
and Sanchez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Eardley thinking.
Sanchez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Eardley has his takedown stuffed
and Sanchez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eardley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Eardley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez moves out of range as Eardley throws a body kick.
Sanchez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sanchez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Sanchez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Eardley to the mat! Eardley manages to get full guard.
Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sanchez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Eardley is pulling down on Sanchez's head. It's preventing any offense from Sanchez, at least for the moment.

Eardley wants to stand up but Sanchez is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Eardley is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Eardley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away.
Randell Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Eardley.
Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Eardley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Sanchez is rocked!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Eardley.
Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Eardley throws a quick head kick that knocks Sanchez silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Eardley is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Brad Eardley!
