The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten shoots in looking for a takedown. Love tries to sprawl out of it but Blomsten keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Love manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blomsten connects with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Love looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Dr Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arto Blomsten.

and Love counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Blomsten has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Love is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Love tries to bench press Blomsten off him but Blomsten keeps the position.

Love gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Blomsten lands a big shot there that rocks Love but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Blomsten tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Blomsten is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Love goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Blomsten!
