Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adan Conner (ranked 24096 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick The Rock (ranked 5872 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick The Rock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Rock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Conner.
The Rock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Conner counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Conner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Conner gets to his feet - The Rock follows without any prompting.

The Rock has taken the fight to the clinch.
Conner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Conner goes for a takedown attempt but The Rock pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - The Rock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The Rock's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and The Rock duly obliges.

It looks like Adan Conner has been cut.
Conner walks into a left hand.
The Rock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Conner went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
The Rock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Rock manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Conner has managed to clinch.

Conner has hold of one of The Rock's legs. The Rock is fighting the takedown attempt but Conner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Conner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The Rock bucks up and tries to throw Conner off but instead Conner has got his back!

That's time! Conner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Conner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Rock's guard.

Conner stands and steps away. The Rock gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for The Rock. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
