Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam James (ranked 5358 p4p, 604 weight class) and Carlos Jimenez (ranked 24389 p4p, 760 weight class). James comes into the arena with Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James lands with an overhand left.
James connects with a body shot that sends Jimenez's belly button to the back.
James connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jimenez. Jimenez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
James fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
James listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Jimenez throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.
Jimenez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
James keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jimenez is rocked!
Jimenez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jimenez is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?

Jimenez seems to have recovered his senses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James cracks Jimenez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jimenez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can James finish him?
James gets in close and tags Jimenez with a short punch that almost sends Jimenez to the mat! Oh Jimenez is in big trouble! He turns his back on James, trying to create some distance but James rushes him, striking wildly and Jimenez goes down! The referee tackles James into the cage to end the fight! James is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam James!
A relieved looking Liam James thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
