Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Burke (ranked 24715 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tahm Kench (ranked 6046 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Burke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tahm Kench! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kench manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burke on his heels. He'll look to pass Burke's guard now, I'm sure. Burke has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kench off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tahm Kench seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kench closes the distance but Burke moves to the side and Burke counters with a three punch combo that has Kench backing up. Kench nods at Burke to acknowledge the strikes. Kench looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kench is looking to advance position but Burke won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kench is trying to control. Burke wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kench wants to pass the guard but Burke is defending well. Burke wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke is looking for a sweep. Kench is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Burke is trying to control but can't.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kench pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kench drives through with a takedown into guard. Kench really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kench wants to control from the top but Burke keeps moving. Burke keeping full guard, as Kench tries to pass. Kench trying to control but Burke is working from the bottom. Burke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kench wanted to stand there but Burke had control of the position. Kench must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Burke keeping moving, preventing Kench from controlling successfully. Kench is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kench throws a nice looking combination but Burke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Burke tried to counter with a leg kick but Kench avoided it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kench defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burke. Kench clinches. Burke wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kench has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burke is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Burke successfully pulls guard.
Kench trying to stand up but can't free himself from Burke's guard. Kench looking to sit in guard and control but Burke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Burke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Burke advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burke is taking a breather. Kench says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kench is looking to control Burke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kench avoid being mounted? Burke stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kench to get to his feet. Kench fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Burke to the ground. Kench is now in Burke's guard. Kench looks winded! Kench wants to control from the top but Burke keeps moving. Burke is trying to keep Kench in close.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Burke will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Burke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kench's waist but Kench gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burke off to one side. Kench jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like Burke was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kench looks to land a combination but Burke avoids it well. Burke dodges the punch combination from Kench.
Kench is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kench shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Burke is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kench dives into side control.

Kench is trying to get an arm triangle but Burke is defending well. Burke sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kench tries to stand and escape but Burke is controlling the position. Kench stops Burke from getting back to his feet.
Kench thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burke's head. Burke is not content to let Kench control the position. Burke wants to control but Kench is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kench wants to work for an arm triangle but Burke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kench is pressing down on Burke's thigh, looking to free his foot. Burke is holding on for now. Kench lands with a punch from half guard. Burke taking some punishment here, with Kench in his half guard. Kench is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kench is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burke is pressing down on Kench's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kench looking to sit in guard and control but Burke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kench keeping moving, preventing Burke from controlling successfully. Burke gets to his feet - Kench follows without any prompting. Burke swats away the attempt to clinch by Kench.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kench's guard. Burke slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Burke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kench trying to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tahm Kench will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Burke tries for a takedown but Kench sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kench tries to counter by closing the distance. Kench throws a low kick but Burke moves out of range easily. Kench shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burke napping and manages to drive through into side control! Burke prevents Kench from improving position. Kench tries to move to full mount but Burke actually manages to regain half guard. Kench is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Burke still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Burke has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burke working away. Kench tries to improve position but can't. Kench takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke decides to stand back up. Burke steps back and let's Kench get back to his feet. Burke fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kench closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kench lands in his opponent's guard. Burke looking for a sweep. Not yet Burke, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kench pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burke is keeping the position for now. Burke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kench wants to control from the top but Burke keeps moving. Kench wants to stand but Burke is controlling his posture from full guard. Burke wants to sweep but no luck. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burke has a closed guard, preventing Kench from standing up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kench moves in looking to clinch but Burke pushes him off. Burke wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Kench ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burke moves away. Burke feinted with a counter takedown. Burke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kench sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Burke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kench misses with a head kick.
Burke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kench tries to avoid it but Burke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kench to the ground. Kench escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kench is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burke's half guard. Burke pushes Kench off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kench is looking to score with low kicks. Burke is looking to counter with a body kick. Kench drives through with a takedown into Burke's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Burke pushes Kench off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kench tries to clinch and Burke counters with a one-two to the body. Tahm Kench seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kench is looking to clinch but Burke is avoiding it.
Burke fails with a takedown attempt. Burke sets himself, and Kench steps forward looking for the clinch! Burke avoids it this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Burke showed his dominance in that final round. I think Burke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
