1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adrian Meneghetti! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beyshengaziev scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Beyshengaziev keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Beyshengaziev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Meneghetti for as long as he can get away with. Beyshengaziev is looking to pass Meneghetti's guard but actually Meneghetti recovers to full guard. Meneghetti is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Beyshengaziev drives through and clinches with Meneghetti against the cage.

Meneghetti has Beyshengaziev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Beyshengaziev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Meneghetti has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Beyshengaziev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Beyshengaziev pushes off an throws an elbow but Meneghetti leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Meneghetti has had enough of the clinch but Beyshengaziev keeps him there for the moment. Beyshengaziev goes for a takedown attempt but Meneghetti pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Meneghetti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beyshengaziev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beyshengaziev lands in his opponent's guard. Beyshengaziev works over Meneghetti with some ground and pound from guard. Meneghetti is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beyshengaziev defends well. Beyshengaziev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meneghetti on the ground. Beyshengaziev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Meneghetti passes to full mount! Beyshengaziev has left one of his arms exposed and Meneghetti doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Beyshengaziev screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
