Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Neil!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
It looked like Sanchez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sanchez throws out a loose jab but Neil uses good head movement to avoid it.
Danga de danga de dang - Sanchez scores with a four punch combination!
Neil looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sanchez .
Sanchez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Neil has his takedown stuffed
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez has taken the fight to the clinch.

Neil moves out of range as Sanchez strikes.

Sanchez throws out a powerful jab.
Sanchez throws a body kick that misses.
Sanchez sets himself, and Neil steps forward looking for the clinch! Sanchez avoids it this time.

Sanchez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Neil's calf.
Neil takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Neil displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sanchez throws out the jab.
Sanchez throws out a loose jab but Neil uses good head movement to avoid it.
Neil only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Neil uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sanchez .
Neil is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sanchez misses the jab.
Neil wants to counter the offense by Sanchez and move into the clinch position.
Sanchez scores with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez throws a low kick but Neil avoids it.

A cross from Sanchez lands.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sanchez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Neil.
Sanchez sets himself, and Neil steps forward looking for the clinch! Sanchez avoids it this time.
Neil takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Neil uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sanchez .
Neil wants to counter the offense by Sanchez and move into the clinch position.
Sanchez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Neil tries to counter with a clinch but Sanchez shakes him off and moves away.
Neil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away.
It looked like Sanchez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Neil.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanchez . Neil does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marcos Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Neil changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sanchez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Neil has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Neil and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And Neil tries to counter it with a takedown but Sanchez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Neil shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Neil is defended easily by Sanchez .
Sanchez connects with a jab.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Neil walks into a straight right hand from Sanchez .
Marcos Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sanchez tries to land a front kick but Neil steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And Neil tries to counter it with a takedown but Sanchez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Neil misses with a takedown attempt
and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sanchez scores with a body shot.
Sanchez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Neil. Neil circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


Neil is rocked!

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez cracks Neil with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Neil falls to his knees and Sanchez doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcos Sanchez !
