Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roy Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Yokomuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yokomuki has chosen I Feed Your Death as his entrance music. Michaels is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Michaels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Yokomuki! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yokomuki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Michaels is breathing heavily. Michaels keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Yokomuki lands with some strikes. Michaels tries to reverse the position but Yokomuki maintains control. Yokomuki landing shots from mount. Yokomuki sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Michaels is trying desperately to improve position. Yokomuki controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels reaches up to try and control the position but Yokomuki seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Michaels rolls and tries to escape and now Yokomuki has his back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Yokomuki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Despite being in the dominant position, Daniel Yokomuki just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yokomuki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yokomuki controlling the action here. Yokomuki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yokomuki is standing up, even though he is in mount. Yokomuki fails to land the takedown. Michaels feints and as Yokomuki raises his hands in defense, Michaels changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Yokomuki seems keen to control Michaels's posture. Michaels advances position into side control! Yokomuki can't do much from the bottom here. Yokomuki keeping his opponent close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michaels working away. Yokomuki is looking to regain half guard here but Michaels keeps moving and retains side control. Michaels goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Yokomuki rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Michaels's guard! Nice work there by Yokomuki! Yokomuki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Yokomuki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yokomuki showed some decent athleticism there. Yokomuki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Yokomuki scores with a takedown into Michaels's guard. Michaels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yokomuki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Michaels looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Yokomuki passes into side control.
Michaels wants to control but Yokomuki postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels is looking for a sweep. Yokomuki tries to move to mount but Michaels blocks the move with his legs. Michaels tries to improve position but can't. Yokomuki advances to mount. Michaels tries to improve his position but instead Yokomuki has taken his back! Michaels is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Michaels trying to control the position but Yokomuki manages to sink in the hooks. What can Michaels do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Let's hope that Yokomuki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Michaels wants to escape the position.

Michaels trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Michaels tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Yokomuki content just to control the position here. Michaels really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Yokomuki presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Yokomuki stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A clash of legs there as Yokomuki blocks the low kick. Yokomuki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Michaels misses with a takedown attempt so Yokomuki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Yokomuki showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Yokomuki stopping the sweep attempt from Michaels. Yokomuki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yokomuki gets to his feet - Michaels follows without any prompting. Yokomuki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Yokomuki happy to just control the position for now. Yokomuki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Michaels keeps working. Michaels manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yokomuki's best efforts. Michaels tries to roll over but Yokomuki keeps him under control. Daniel Yokomuki has got the better of the ground game so far. Yokomuki is taking a breather. Michaels says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Yokomuki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Yokomuki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Michaels's guard. Yokomuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michaels swivels though and keeps the full guard. Yokomuki stays in close to Michaels's body and controls the position. Michaels throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Yokomuki escapes and throws Michaels's legs to the side, diving into side control! Yokomuki controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yokomuki stands up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Yokomuki misses with a takedown attempt and Michaels counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Michaels uses his free foot to push down on Yokomuki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yokomuki. Yokomuki reaches up and holds on to Michaels to control the position. Michaels jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Yokomuki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Yokomuki and Michaels has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Michaels is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yokomuki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. What's Yokomuki going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Michaels thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Roy Michaels has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yokomuki manages to get back to half guard. Yokomuki gets full guard. Michaels trying to stand up but can't free himself from Yokomuki's guard. Yokomuki is pulling down on Michaels's head to control his posture. Michaels looking to sit in guard and control but Yokomuki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Yokomuki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Michaels is trying desperately to improve position. Yokomuki gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Roy Michaels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Michaels misses with a takedown attempt and Yokomuki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Michaels won't be happy with that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Yokomuki is working to tighten is grip on Michaels's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Michaels has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Yokomuki is really squeezing tight and eventually Michaels passes out! Yokomuki breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
