Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luc Van Acker (ranked 1831 p4p, 222 weight class) and Tony Hibbert (ranked 1081 p4p, 135 weight class). Van Acker comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luc Van Acker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Hibbert! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Acker digs a good body shot into Hibbert's ribs. Hibbert lands with an uppercut that bounces Van Acker off the cage and back into range. Hibbert throws a body shot but no joy. Hibbert will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hibbert throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Van Acker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Van Acker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hibbert misses with a series of wild punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Van Acker is defended easily by Hibbert. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Acker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hibbert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luc Van Acker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hibbert lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Van Acker at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hibbert darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hibbert throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Van Acker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Van Acker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Van Acker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Van Acker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hibbert wants to get back to full guard. Hibbert keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hibbert is looking to improve his position.

Can Hibbert avoid being mounted? Hibbert is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Van Acker is staying active. Hibbert is controlling Van Acker's trapped leg to prevent Van Acker from advancing to side control. Van Acker thows a huge punch but Hibbert dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Acker throws a big right hand that misses. Van Acker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Van Acker throwing strikes from guard but Hibbert blocks nicely. Hibbert is adopting a defensive guard. Van Acker with a flurry of punches that miss. Hibbert seems keen to control Van Acker's posture. Van Acker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Van Acker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hibbert has control of Van Acker's left arm, preventing Van Acker from doing any damage. Let's hope that Hibbert has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Van Acker slips a jab and a cross from Hibbert.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hibbert lands a jab. Hibbert looks to land a right hand but Van Acker moved out of range. Hibbert rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Van Acker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Van Acker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Hibbert dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Decent striking displayed by Hibbert there. Van Acker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Van Acker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hibbert connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Van Acker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hibbert defends it nicely. Hibbert misses the shot to the body. Van Acker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hibbert leaves Van Acker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luc Van Acker. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheers as Hibbert lands an impressive looking overhand right. Van Acker doesn't seem phased though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Van Acker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hibbert counters by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hibbert is trying to maintain a safe position but Van Acker gets an underhook and turns Hibbert into the cage. Hibbert has Van Acker pressed against the cage.

Hibbert lands a hook that snaps the head of Van Acker backwards. Hibbert lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short uppercut from Hibbert. Van Acker has Hibbert pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hibbert manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Van Acker goes for a takedown attempt but Hibbert pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Acker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Van Acker tries to clinch but fails miserably and Van Acker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Van Acker is rocked! Van Acker dives in and grabs Hibbert's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hibbert pushes down on Van Acker's head and hops out. Hibbert throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Van Acker drops his hands momentarily and Hibbert takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Oh Van Acker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hibbert has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Van Acker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Van Acker seems to have got his legs back now. Van Acker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hibbert. Van Acker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hibbert sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hibbert lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Van Acker lands with a hook. Hibbert tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Van Acker drops his hands momentarily and Hibbert takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Hibbert scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hibbert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hibbert unleashes a big counter combination but Van Acker bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Acker tries to bum rush Hibbert with a series of wild strikes but Hibbert uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hibbert avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Van Acker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Hibbert lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Van Acker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hibbert lands a really nice looking cross but Van Acker seems unphased.
Hibbert works Van Acker's body with a nice hook. Hibbert lands with a nice body punch. Hibbert connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Van Acker momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hibbert scores with the left hand. Van Acker knows he should have avoided that one. Hibbert moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Tony Hibbert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hibbert stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hibbert wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Acker throws a right and a left that both miss. Van Acker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hibbert connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hibbert throws a one two combo.
Van Acker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hibbert pinned against the cage. Hibbert gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hibbert circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Van Acker to the canvas! Van Acker doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hibbert keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
