The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rain lands with a hook. Davies tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Rain connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The fight stays on the outside here - Davies looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Davies's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rain connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Davies scrambles back to his feet. Rain leaves Davies with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Rain as Davies shoots in. Rain tests Davies's chin there with a solid looking shot. Davies looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rain is fending him off so far but Davies persists. Nope, Rain circles away and we're back to standing. Rain has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Heavy Metal in the buildup to the fight. Black Rain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Davies. Rain scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Rain scores with a leg kick.
Rain lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davies needs to keep his hands up - Rain had a free shot at his head there.
Davies is rocked! Rain with a hook. Davies is still on wobbly legs! Can Rain finish him? Davies gets a clinch. Rain lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain lands a hook to the side of the head. Rain lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Davies backwards. Davies tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Davies throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Rain lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Rain scores with a shoulder strike. Rain scores with a shot to the side of Davies's head. A short uppercut from Rain. Rain working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rain pushes Davies against the cage. Rain is working some dirty boxing. Rain pushes off with a quick right hook! Davies goes down! Davies tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rain moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Black Rain! Black Rain spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
