The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Roy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lugo bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Lugo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Lugo stands and throws Roy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lugo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Roy will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lugo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Roy for as long as he can get away with.

Lugo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

BOOM! Lugo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lugo scoring with strikes but Roy is staying in there.
Lugo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Lugo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Roy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lugo swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
