Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Steve Stricker (ranked 4631 p4p, 555 weight class) and Peter Hare (ranked 3299 p4p, 430 weight class). Stricker comes to the ring accompanied by 21 Savage feat. Future - X. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stricker lands a lovely overhand right.
Hare tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stricker throwing a counter right hand but Hare manages to avoid it.
Hare throws a sloppy head kick and Stricker moves out of range easily.
Hare misses with a body shot.
Stricker thinks about countering with a body kick.

Stricker throws a sloppy head kick and Hare moves out of range easily.
Hare misses with a looping left.
Stricker connects with a single shot there.
Stricker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hare on the side of the head.

It seemed like Hare was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hare throws a hook to the side of Stricker's head but Stricker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stricker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Stricker is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Hare throws a low kick but it's checked well by Stricker.

Hare rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stricker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hare fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stricker.

Stricker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hare moves away.
Stricker looks to score with a jab to the body but Hare is just out of range.

Stricker takes one to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stricker throws a hook to the side of Hare's head but Hare sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fighters circling - Stricker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hare! But no joy.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Stricker will probably get the nod.

That's time! Stricker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stricker checks a leg kick.
Stricker throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hare avoids it.
Peter Hare has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fighters circling - Stricker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stricker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Stricker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hare can do to turn this around?

and Stricker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hare is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Stricker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hare's hands.

Stricker throws a leg kick which misses Hare's front leg but catches the back leg as Hare tries to avoid it.

Stricker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hare uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stricker.

Hare is looking to slow Stricker down with leg kicks.
Stricker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hare stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Stricker throws a poor cross that misses
and Hare counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Stricker counters with a slapping leg kick.
Stricker throws a jab when Hare was well out of range.
Stricker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Peter Hare.
Well Stricker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
