Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chief Shadow (ranked 3168 p4p, 412 weight class) and Dvan Irago (ranked 2891 p4p, 378 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Shadow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dvan Irago!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow with a poor takedown
and Irago counters with a stiff right hand.
Irago lands with a good body shot.
Shadow walks into a straight right hand from Irago.
Irago lands a right hook to the body.
Shadow takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shadow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Irago scores with a one two! Shadow had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Shadow has a takedown stuffed.
Shadow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Irago pinned against the cage. Irago gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Shadow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Irago goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Irago lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shadow backs up against the cage.

Shadow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shadow takes one to the side of the head.
A left lands for Irago.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shadow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Irago is trying to defend but Shadow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've been hearing that Shadow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Shadow is trying to work for a kimura but Irago is defending well.
Shadow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Irago keeps working.

Irago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shadow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shadow uses his free foot to push down on Irago's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Irago.

Shadow lands a big shot there that rocks Irago but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dvan Irago will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Shadow takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Irago with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Chief Shadow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Shadow has a takedown stuffed.
Irago lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice uppercut lands for Irago. That snapped Shadow's head back.
Irago keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Decent striking displayed by Irago there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shadow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Irago counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Irago has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Irago keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dvan Irago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shadow takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Irago's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shadow under the eye.
Irago connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shadow.
Irago connects with a body shot that sends Shadow's belly button to the back.

Shadow ducks right into an uppercut from Irago.
Irago moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Shadow tries for a takedown but Irago circles away easily
and Irago makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Irago throws a one two combo.
Shadow looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Shadow on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Shadow is rocked!
Irago thuds his right hand into Shadow's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oh Shadow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Irago throws a good cross that connects.
Irago throws an overhand right that drops Shadow like a sack of potatoes! Irago dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dvan Irago!
