3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, RK Mate! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morales tries to clinch but Mate is having none of it. Mate looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Morales tries for a takedown but Mate sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morales. Morales tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mate swats him away and circles back towards the center. Morales tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mate defends well and Morales ends up having to push Mate into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Morales. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morales moves into the clinch successfully.
Morales is trying to pull guard but Mate has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morales successfully pulls guard.

Morales throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Morales wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mate, who protects the arm well. Morales working away. Morales thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

As Morales backs off Mate throws a huge counter combo but Morales manages to avoid it all. Morales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mate sprawls well. That's four minutes gone in the round. Mate pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Morales back to the cage. Mate follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Mate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Morales defends well and Mate ends up having to push Morales into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Anderson Morales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morales fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mate has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mate is looking to clinch but Morales is avoiding it.
Morales closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mate to the mat! Mate manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mate looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morales would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
RK Mate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Morales decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mate, up you get! Mate stuffs the takedown attempt from Morales. Morales gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Morales. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morales closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mate circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Morales looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mate unleashes a big counter combination but Morales bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Anderson Morales is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Morales misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
