Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Williams Delaney (ranked 25417 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Woods (ranked 6021 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Williams Delaney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Woods! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delaney misses with a takedown attempt - Woods sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Delaney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Woods closes this distance looking for a takedown but Delaney circles away. Delaney shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Woods defends it nicely. Delaney throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Woods's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Woods just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDelaney. Woods tries to score a power double leg takedown but Delaney sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woods somewhat. Woods tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Delaney swivels and escapes. It looked like Delaney was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Williams Delaney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Woods.
That's one minute gone in the round. Delaney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Woods fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Woods does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Delaney. Horrible takedown attempt by Delaney or perhaps it was just good defense by Woods, which made it look bad. Woods tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Delaney takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Williams Delaney has been cut. Delaney connects with a body shot that sends Woods's belly button to the back. Woods is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Delaney's half guard. Woods tries to pass to full mount but Delaney defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delaney is looking for a sweep. Woods is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Delaney is looking to escape. Woods is stalling here. Delaney is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Woods seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Delaney has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woods tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Delaney landing punches. Delaney landing shots from mount. Woods wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Delaney.

Delaney working away from the top, dropping strikes. Woods tries to get back to half guard but can't. Woods is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Delaney lands a couple of good shots and Woods has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Delaney tightening his grip on Woods, looking for the choke. Delaney is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Woods trying to control but not successfully. Woods is trying to stand back up. Delaney is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Woods is defending well though. Delaney let's go of the attempt for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods wants to stand but Delaney is controlling his posture from full guard. Delaney is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woods is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Woods drives through and clinches with Delaney against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Delaney fails to land. Woods breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Delaney.

Woods drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Delaney dives on top into guard. Woods is trying to control the position but Delaney postures up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Delaney accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Delaney throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Delaney postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woods tries to land a sweep but no joy. Delaney stands up from Woods's guard - Delaney perhaps looking for a knockout. Woods throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Woods darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Woods is breathing heavily. Woods working over Delaney with some ground and pound. Delaney looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Woods is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Delaney has managed to free his arm - good work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Delaney manages to get to full guard.

Woods fails with the takedown. Delaney appears to be looking for a big counter. Woods closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Delaney's guard. Delaney pushes Woods off and gets back to his feet.
Donk. Woods catches Delaney right on the button with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods wants to clinch up but Delaney keeps it at a distance. No luck for Woods with that takedown attempt. Delaney fails with the takedown and Woods counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Woods displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Delaney. Woods shoots in and gets a takedown into Delaney's guard. Delaney has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Woods off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Ricky Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Woods is looking to clinch. Delaney changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woods looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Delaney cracks Woods with a big elbow. Delaney scoring with punches from side control.

Delaney throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Delaney has control of an arm but Woods manages to advance to Delaney's back! Woods wants to control the position but Delaney frees himself and scrambles - Woods manages to regain control in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Delaney is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Woods off and has taken his back! Delaney lands strikes to the head. Delaney lands with a hammerfist to the side of Woods's head. Delaney is landing with strikes from the back. Woods is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Delaney tries to get the hooks in deep but Woods pushed the leg off. Woods really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delaney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Delaney struggling to land strikes to the head as Woods covers up. Woods looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Delaney is punishing Woods with some ground and pound. Delaney lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Woods hold on?!
Woods trying to control the hands but Delaney breaks the grip. Delaney gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Delaney lands shots from the back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Delaney is punishing Woods with strikes - can he finish him?!
And that's the end of the fight! Williams Delaney showed his dominance in that final round. I think Delaney has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
