Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Bishop (ranked 1478 p4p, 153 weight class) and Luis Gonzales (ranked 4499 p4p, 360 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bishop might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ghetts - Artillery. Jackson Bishop could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luis Gonzales's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop missing with a left hand there. Gonzales was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bishop closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bishop tries a body shot but Gonzales blocks it.
Gonzales lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Bishop lands an uppercut. Bishop scores with an uppercut up the middle. Bishop manages to break the clinch.
Gonzales throws a looping overhand right but Bishop ducks down to avoid it. Some wild striking there from Bishop.
Gonzales tries to counter with a clinch but Bishop shakes him off and moves away. Gonzales tries to move into range but Bishop moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bishop closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. This has been an exciting period of action! Gonzales prevents Bishop from moving into mount. Gonzales tries to bench press Bishop off him but Bishop keeps the position. Bishop grinds an elbow into Gonzales's temple. You can see the frustration on Gonzales's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bishop passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gonzales!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop tries to control but Gonzales wriggling away. Bishop lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gonzales is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop controlling the position easily from mount. Bishop lands a couple of good shots and Gonzales has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Gonzales is still in real trouble! Can Bishop finish him? Bishop trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Gonzales seems to have recovered his senses. Gonzales has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bishop working for the choke. Bishop cracks Gonzales with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Gonzales from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bishop is looking for the choke from the back position but Gonzales is controlling his hands well. Bishop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Bishop has the hooks in. Gonzales is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Gonzales grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gonzales manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bishop's guard. Nice work there by Gonzales.
Gonzales pushing down on Bishop's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gonzales wants to free his trapped foot but Bishop is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bishop is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzales is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gonzales content to control rather than advance. Bishop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gonzales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bishop defends it well. Gonzales prevents Bishop from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bishop slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gonzales looking to pass the guard. Gonzales is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bishop trying to keep a closed guard but Gonzales is proving a slippery customer.

Is there anything that Gonzales can do to turn this around? Bishop darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bishop is looking to advance position but Gonzales won't allow it. Bishop prevents Gonzales from improving his position. Gonzales slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bishop cracks Gonzales with a solid left hand. Bishop preventing the sweep. Bishop passes Gonzales's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzales is in trouble now - Bishop has advanced to mount! Bishop looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bishop landing shots from mount. Bishop scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gonzales?
Bishop landing strikes from the mount and Gonzales is in trouble! Gonzales tries to reverse the position but Bishop maintains control. Bishop fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bishop lands a big shot to the head and Gonzales winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jackson Bishop! Jackson Bishop bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
