The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and OGrady counters with a nice uppercut.
OGrady looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sakuraba is rocked!
Tatsuya Sakuraba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakuraba misses with a straight left.
Sakuraba misses with an uppercut.
OGrady drops Sakuraba with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sakuraba looks back up at him and smiles so OGrady waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sakuraba is still on wobbly legs! Can OGrady finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A low kick from Sakuraba misses
and OGrady rattles Sakuraba with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Sakuraba tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. OGrady dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Sakuraba stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rocco OGrady!
A relieved looking Rocco OGrady thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
