Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pele Ronaldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Johnson! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to clinch up. Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ronaldo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Johnson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ronaldo has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. We've been informed that Johnson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ronaldo dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Ronaldo stalling the fight.
Ronaldo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ronaldo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Ronaldo missing with strikes. Johnson is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Ronaldo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Ronaldo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to get back to his feet but Ronaldo is in full control for now. Ronaldo throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Ronaldo throwing wild punches that miss their target. Ronaldo patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is trying to defend against the choke here but Ronaldo has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ronaldo Tightens the hold and Johnson taps out furiously! Ronaldo displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pele Ronaldo! Pele Ronaldo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
