Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teodors Ozolinsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Ragnar Diaz! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a hook
and Ozolinsh counters with a nice uppercut. Diaz swings for the body but Ozolinsh moves out of range.
Ozolinsh looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Diaz tries to clinch but Ozolinsh moves out of range. Ozolinsh with a body punch. A glancing blow. Diaz throws a jab but it's blocked by Ozolinsh. Diaz misses with a wild body shot. Ozolinsh swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Diaz slips a jab from Ozolinsh. Ozolinsh seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ozolinsh lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head.
It looks like Ragnar Diaz has been cut. Ozolinsh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Diaz throws a one two combo.
It looks like Teodors Ozolinsh has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ozolinsh buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Ozolinsh avoids it well. Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz throws a jab when Ozolinsh was well out of range. Diaz misses with a body shot
and Ozolinsh counters with a big right hand! Oh Diaz is in trouble here! Ozolinsh follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
