Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joan Vila (ranked 1678 p4p, 205 weight class) and Master Roshi (ranked 2731 p4p, 312 weight class). Master Roshi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vila has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym Beam in the buildup to the fight.

Roshi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vila cracks Roshi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Roshi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Vila and Roshi goes tumbling to the canvas! Vila follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Vila is keen to just control but Roshi is a slippery customer.
Vila has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Roshi defend it? Vila steps over the head and cranks it - Roshi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Vila!
