And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Kropotkin!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kropotkin misses with a jab to the body
and Akabane counters with a series of strikes. Kropotkin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Akabane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kropotkin wants to control but Akabane postures up.
Akabane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kropotkin on the ground.
Akabane postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kropotkin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Akabane's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kropotkin gets back to full guard.
Akabane wants to control from the top but Kropotkin keeps moving.
Kropotkin is adopting a defensive guard.

Akabane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kropotkin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Akabane has managed to get both his arms back between Kropotkin's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kropotkin is looking for a triangle here but Akabane uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kropotkin regains half guard, as Akabane was trying to land strikes.
Kropotkin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Akabane.

Kropotkin is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Akabane is tapping! Great win for Kropotkin!
