0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tigran Minasian! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Chomsky. No joy for Minasian on that attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Minasian or perhaps it was just good defense by Chomsky, which made it look bad. Chomsky seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Tigran Minasian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minasian shoots in looking for a takedown. Chomsky tries to sprawl out of it but Minasian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chomsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chomsky wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Noam Chomsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tigran Minasian. Chomsky lunges at Minasian with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Minasian's hand. Minasian shoots in but Chomsky avoids the takedown attempt easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Minasian. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minasian shoots in for a takedown but Chomsky shows good takedown defense. Minasian changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chomsky looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chomsky sneaks back into half guard. Minasian tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chomsky trying to hold on to Minasian's head to control him but Minasian postures up.
Chomsky holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Chomsky is not content to let Minasian control the position. Minasian is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Minasian is looking to pass Chomsky's guard but actually Chomsky recovers to full guard. Chomsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Minasian tries to free his leg and advance position but Chomsky is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chomsky tries to land a sweep but no joy. Minasian slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Minasian goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chomsky has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Minasian but great work by Chomsky. Minasian manages to get back to half guard. Minasian keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minasian pushes Chomsky off looking to stand but Chomsky dives back in and keeps control.

Minasian looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Chomsky stalling away here and it's allowed Minasian to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Minasian has his feet on Chomsky's thighs here. He's pushed Chomsky off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Chomsky screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
