Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milton Friedman (ranked 1125 p4p, 124 weight class) and Rico Suarez (ranked 2408 p4p, 255 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rico Suarez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Milton Friedman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Suarez! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Friedman throws a body punch but Suarez moves out of range. Suarez with the counter takedown but Friedman avoids it easily. Friedman misses with a wild body shot. Friedman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Suarez's guard. Friedman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Friedman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Suarez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Friedman. Friedman chips away with some ground and pound. Friedman throws a big elbow that misses. Friedman is working Suarez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Friedman scoring with punches to the head and body. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Friedman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Friedman lands a couple of elbows. Friedman tries to free his leg and advance position but Suarez is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Friedman with a flurry of punches that miss. Friedman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Suarez's head. Friedman scoring with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Friedman landing with the ground and pound. Friedman postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Suarez covers up, he's hurt! Friedman keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Friedman and the ref steps in to end the fight! Friedman can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Milton Friedman! Milton Friedman tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
