The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syndicate throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sims's waist but Sims gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Syndicate off to one side.
Sims darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A swing and a miss from Sims.
Syndicate avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Syndicate thows a left - swing and a miss!
Syndicate fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sims clinches with his opponent.
Syndicate presses Sims against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Syndicate breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sims lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Syndicate shoots in for a takedown but Sims shows good takedown defense.
Sims throws a series of punches but Syndicate avoids them all with ease.
Sims closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sims has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Syndicate!

It looks like Roland Syndicate has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sims cracks Syndicate with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
