Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Rodriguez (ranked 24624 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Meneghetti (ranked 4210 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juan Rodriguez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adrian Meneghetti! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meneghetti tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rodriguez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rodriguez has closed the distance and engaged Meneghetti in a clinch.
Rodriguez landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Meneghetti is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Meneghetti tries to stall but Rodriguez uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rodriguez breaks the clinch.
Rodriguez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Meneghetti quickly recovers to half guard. Rodriguez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Meneghetti trying to control but Rodriguez postures up.
Meneghetti is defending against the submission attempts here by Rodriguez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meneghetti gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodriguez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Meneghetti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rodriguez has managed to get both his arms back between Meneghetti's legs - danger averted. Meneghetti is looking to stand up but Rodriguez isn't so interested in that idea. Rodriguez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Meneghetti controls Rodriguez momentarily but Rodriguez frees himself. Meneghetti keeping moving, preventing Rodriguez from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meneghetti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rodriguez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Meneghetti has locked up a guillotine! Meneghetti's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rodriguez is holding on here and Meneghetti must be using up a lot of energy. Rodriguez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Meneghetti gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
