The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews misses the shot to the body.
Williams tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Matthews defends well and Williams ends up having to push Matthews into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Matthews scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Williams doesn't seem bothered though.
Williams slips under a jab from Matthews.

Matthews lands a right hook to the body.
Matthews seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Matthews digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank.

Matthews lands a body punch in the clinch.
Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Matthews walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt
and Matthews counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jackson Matthews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Williams.
Matthews fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Williams looks winded!
