Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilmer Oliver (ranked 7305 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabri Martinelli (ranked 5957 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilmer Oliver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fabri Martinelli! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinelli will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A solid body kick from Martinelli. Oliver takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
As Martinelli backs away, Oliver returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Martinelli fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oliver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinelli's waist but Martinelli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliver off to one side. Martinelli instigates a clinch. Martinelli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Oliver really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Oliver stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Martinelli is defended easily by Oliver. Wilmer Oliver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabri Martinelli. Martinelli closes the distance and clinches.

Martinelli tries for a takedown but Oliver sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Martinelli is looking to clinch. Oliver is looking to counter punch. Martinelli will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Martinelli closes the distance and clinches up with Oliver, looking for a takedown. Martinelli pushes Oliver against the cage but Oliver circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Oliver closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martinelli circles away. Martinelli scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Martinelli stuffs the takedown attempt from Oliver. Oliver gets slowly back to his feet. Martinelli tries to clinch up. Oliver looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Fabri Martinelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Martinelli has his takedown stuffed and Oliver counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Oliver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Martinelli pulls him back up using the underhooks. Oliver is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Martinelli gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Oliver tries to pull guard but Martinelli holds him up against the cage and eventually Oliver drops back down to his feet.

The referee is keeping an eye on Oliver - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinelli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oliver shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Martinelli's guard. Oliver is breathing heavily. Oliver tries to stand but Martinelli is controlling from the bottom. Martinelli wants to stand but Oliver is controlling the position. Martinelli controls Oliver momentarily but Oliver frees himself. Martinelli might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Oliver haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinelli has his foot on Oliver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oliver works his way back into a safe position though. Oliver scoring with some ground and pound. Martinelli has momentary wrist control but Oliver slips an elbow through the middle. Oliver wants to stand but Martinelli has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Martinelli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oliver defends it easily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Martinelli closes the distance and pushes Oliver back into the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martinelli being controlled against the cage. Martinelli is trying to drag Oliver to the mat but Oliver just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Fabri Martinelli will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wilmer Oliver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Martinelli is looking to clinch. A leg kick checked by Martinelli. Oliver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martinelli tries to avoid it but Oliver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martinelli to the ground. Martinelli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Oliver with a lazy takedown attempt and Martinelli counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Martinelli. Martinelli is trying to pull guard but Oliver turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Martinelli is pressed up against the cage. Oliver has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Martinelli down to the mat. Martinelli avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilmer Oliver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martinelli misses with a head kick.
Oliver fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martinelli avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both fighters circling a little - Martinelli finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It looked like Oliver was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Oliver connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Oliver misses with a takedown attempt - Martinelli sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oliver drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Martinelli avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Oliver is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oliver wants to stand but Martinelli has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliver stands and steps away. Martinelli gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Martinelli rushes Oliver and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Oliver is trying to break the clinch but Martinelli has him pressed against the cage. Martinelli manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Martinelli breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martinelli moves into the clinch successfully.

Fabri Martinelli seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Martinelli drags the fight down to the ground.
Oliver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Oliver throws a right hand that Martinelli ducks under and follows up with a left that Martinelli also avoids with ease. Oliver sets himself, and Martinelli steps forward looking for the clinch! Oliver avoids it this time. Oliver blocks a head kick by Martinelli.
Oliver shoots in for a takedown but Martinelli shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Martinelli gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martinelli leaning against his opponent.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Martinelli enables Oliver to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Martinelli manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Martinelli clinches up against the cage. Martinelli wants to take the fight to the mat but Oliver manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Martinelli lands a nice elbow. Oliver tries a body shot but Martinelli blocks it.

Martinelli clinches up against the cage. Martinelli has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Martinelli breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Martinelli is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oliver went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Martinelli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A bone on bone clash there as Martinelli blocks the leg kick.
Oliver stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oliver wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Martinelli blocks the low kick. Martinelli throws out a counter right but Oliver avoids it with no problem. Martinelli throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Martinelli stuffs the takedown attempt from Oliver. Oliver gets slowly back to his feet. Oliver drives through with a takedown into guard. Martinelli pushes Oliver off and gets back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Martinelli can't get the takedown.

Martinelli checks a leg kick. Martinelli is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. The fight stays on the outside here - Martinelli looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Martinelli closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wilmer Oliver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fabri Martinelli is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Martinelli jumps guard but Oliver stands there with Martinelli around his waist. Martinelli gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
