Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdulrahman Arslanbekov (ranked 5968 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamid Al Rahman (ranked 6008 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abdulrahman Arslanbekov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hamid Al Rahman! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arslanbekov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Al Rahman as he jumps to the side. Arslanbekov wants to clinch. Nice takedown defense from Arslanbekov. No joy for Al Rahman on that attempt. Al Rahman misses with a takedown attempt and Arslanbekov counters with a nice uppercut. Al Rahman misses with a double jab.
Al Rahman throws a nice looking combination but Arslanbekov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A counter left hand to the body from Arslanbekov misses its target. Arslanbekov has a takedown stuffed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arslanbekov fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdulrahman Arslanbekov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Arslanbekov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Rahman dives in and grabs Arslanbekov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arslanbekov pushes down on Al Rahman's head and hops out. Al Rahman tries for a takedown but Arslanbekov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Al Rahman gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Arslanbekov. Al Rahman shoots in for a takedown but Arslanbekov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Al Rahman as Arslanbekov shoots in. Al Rahman unleashes a big counter combination but Arslanbekov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Arslanbekov misses with a takedown attempt - Al Rahman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Al Rahman slaps away a takedown attempt from Arslanbekov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Arslanbekov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Al Rahman. Arslanbekov does a little dance to reset his feet. Al Rahman moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arslanbekov gets underhooks to prevent Al Rahman's takedown attempt.
Al Rahman tries to score a body lock takedown but Arslanbekov shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Arslanbekov is trying to force a seperation but Al Rahman has the dominant position. Al Rahman tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Arslanbekov tries to pull guard but Al Rahman forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Al Rahman is trying to drag Arslanbekov to the mat but Arslanbekov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Al Rahman pulls guard successfully.
Arslanbekov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Arslanbekov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arslanbekov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Al Rahman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Al Rahman keeping moving, preventing Arslanbekov from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Al Rahman has control of Arslanbekov's left arm, preventing Arslanbekov from doing any damage. Arslanbekov stops Al Rahman from standing up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Al Rahman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Arslanbekov gets underhooks to prevent Al Rahman's takedown attempt.
Al Rahman misses with a knee to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Arslanbekov prevents a takedown attempt there.
Al Rahman looks winded! Al Rahman jumps guard and drags Arslanbekov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Arslanbekov won't allow Al Rahman to sweep him here. Arslanbekov trying to control but Al Rahman is working from the bottom. Arslanbekov slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Al Rahman. Arslanbekov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Al Rahman tries to get to full guard but Arslanbekov has control of the leg. Arslanbekov is looking for a kimura but Al Rahman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Arslanbekov to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hamid Al Rahman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Al Rahman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arslanbekov counters with a nice body shot. Al Rahman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Arslanbekov scores with a three punch combo!

Arslanbekov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Al Rahman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Arslanbekov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arslanbekov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Al Rahman circles away. Arslanbekov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Al Rahman throws a solid leg kick but Arslanbekov takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Al Rahman. A head kick by Arslanbekov misses and Al Rahman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Rahman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Al Rahman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Arslanbekov, pushing him back against the cage. Al Rahman is pushing Arslanbekov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Arslanbekov taking a breather. Al Rahman breaks from the clinch.
Arslanbekov fails in his attempt to clinch. Al Rahman is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Al Rahman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arslanbekov is fending him off so far but Al Rahman persists. Nope, Arslanbekov circles away and we're back to standing. Arslanbekov misses with a takedown attempt - Al Rahman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Arslanbekov moves into range and connects with a jab. Abdulrahman Arslanbekov is winning the standup battle so far.

Arslanbekov jumps guard and drags Al Rahman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Al Rahman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Arslanbekov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al Rahman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al Rahman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Al Rahman sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Arslanbekov wants to clinch up but Al Rahman keeps it at a distance. Arslanbekov misses with a takedown attempt and Al Rahman counters by clinching up. Arslanbekov is trying to break the clinch but Al Rahman is controlling him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Arslanbekov stops a takedown attempt from Al Rahman.
Arslanbekov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Al Rahman walks away with a smile on his face. Arslanbekov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Al Rahman moves into range and clinches up with Arslanbekov. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Hamid Al Rahman will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Arslanbekov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Al Rahman back to the cage. Arslanbekov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Al Rahman throws a head kick that Arslanbekov semi-blocks.

Al Rahman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Al Rahman shoots in but no luck this time. Abdulrahman Arslanbekov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamid Al Rahman. Arslanbekov shoots in for a double leg but Al Rahman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Arslanbekov on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Al Rahman tries for a takedown but Arslanbekov circles away easily and Arslanbekov counters with a left to the body. Arslanbekov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Al Rahman sprawls well. Al Rahman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Arslanbekov gets slowly back to his feet. Al Rahman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Arslanbekov shoots in looking for a takedown. Al Rahman tries to sprawl out of it but Arslanbekov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al Rahman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arslanbekov tries to clinch but Al Rahman moves out of range. Arslanbekov dives in for a single leg takedown but Al Rahman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Arslanbekov fails with the takedown. Arslanbekov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Arslanbekov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Al Rahman - the referee stops the clock and Arslanbekov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Al Rahman. Arslanbekov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Arslanbekov takes one to the side of the head.
Arslanbekov wants to clinch up but Al Rahman keeps it at a distance. Arslanbekov backing away here, and Al Rahman unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Arslanbekov tries to keep at a distance but Al Rahman has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Al Rahman jumps guard and drags Arslanbekov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Arslanbekov preventing the sweep. Al Rahman trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Al Rahman has his hands on Arslanbekov's head, controlling the position. Al Rahman working a defensive guard here.
Arslanbekov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Arslanbekov distracts Al Rahman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Arslanbekov looking to sit in guard and control but Al Rahman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Al Rahman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arslanbekov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Al Rahman has managed to get both his arms back between Arslanbekov's legs - danger averted. Arslanbekov is looking for a triangle but Al Rahman pushes his legs off easily.
Al Rahman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Arslanbekov's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arslanbekov looking for submissions off his back. Abdulrahman Arslanbekov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hamid Al Rahman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Al Rahman works his way into full mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Hamid Al Rahman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Al Rahman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
