Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Linus Paul!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paul clinches.
Brooks really is a fat lump.

Paul has Brooks pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brooks manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Paul decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brooks, up you get!

That was a close round but I would say that Jerome Brooks will probably get the nod.

Brooks is fighting off a takedown attempt but Paul is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brooks to the mat. Brooks regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Brooks decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Brooks is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Paul to keep the fight standing.

Brooks manages to break the clinch.
Paul throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Jerome Brooks has been cut.

Paul gets tackled into the cage by Brooks. Brooks maintains the clinch.
Brooks tries to pull guard but Paul forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Paul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Paul misses with an uppercut. Brooks saw that one coming.

Brooks throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Paul tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brooks is in Paul's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Paul is looking for a triangle but Brooks pushes his legs off easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paul is trying to control the position but Brooks postures up.

Brooks is looking to work some ground and pound but Paul has wrist control.

Linus Paul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Paul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
