Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Williams Delaney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colman O Branagain!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delaney misses with a takedown attempt - O Branagain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

O Branagain decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Delaney throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that O Branagain has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like O Branagain might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Delaney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Delaney wants to stand up but O Branagain is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O Branagain tries to stand but Delaney is controlling from the bottom.
Delaney is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
O Branagain wants to stand but Delaney has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Delaney shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with O Branagain but O Branagain pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Delaney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
O Branagain shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
As O Branagain looks to move away, Delaney throws a big counter combo but O Branagain just gets out of the way.
Delaney tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but O Branagain swivels and escapes.
O Branagain drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Delaney defends it well.
O Branagain fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Delaney misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

O Branagain has managed to clinch.

O Branagain rushes Delaney and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
O Branagain throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Delaneys head.
O Branagain digs a right hand underneath Delaney's ribcage. Delaney let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Delaney is posturing up here but O Branagain has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Delaney tries to roll out but it's too tight and Delaney has to tap! Slick submission there by O Branagain!
