Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Aiden (ranked 4370 p4p, 215 weight class) and Talon Cape (ranked 5502 p4p, 264 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Aiden! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Talon Cape! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aiden darts in looking for a takedown but Cape gets double underhooks and turns Aiden into the ropes. Aiden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cape defends it nicely. Aiden slips under a jab from Cape. Aiden appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Cape lands a jab. Aiden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Aiden shoots in for a takedown but Cape shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Aiden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cape tries to clinch and Aiden counters with a shoot takedown. Cape fights it but they end up in guard. Aiden prevents Cape from getting back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aiden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aiden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Aiden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cape working a defensive guard here.
Aiden is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Aiden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cape works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cape is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cape has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aiden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Aiden is looking to work some ground and pound but Cape has wrist control. Aiden won't allow Cape to sweep him here. Aiden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aiden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aiden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Aiden throwing strikes from guard but Cape blocks nicely. Aiden with a flurry of punches that miss. Aiden working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cape has control of Aiden's left arm, preventing Aiden from doing any damage. Aiden throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cape pulls Aiden in close to prevent any damage. Aiden looking to sit in guard and control but Cape gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cape got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aiden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cape has managed to get both his arms back between Aiden's legs - danger averted. Aiden is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cape has his hands clasped together but Aiden extends and breaks Cape's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Aiden.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Aiden! Jack Aiden is the new bantamweight champion! After winning the bout, Jack Aiden thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
