Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Wittmann (ranked 6275 p4p, 428 weight class) and Biskane Garnot (ranked 25099 p4p, 509 weight class). Garnot comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tribe Called Red - Stadium Pow Wow kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Biskane Garnot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Wittmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Biskane Garnot! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Garnot, right into the meat.
Wittmann takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Garnot lands with a thumping leg kick.
Garnot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A jab from Garnot does it's job there. Wittmann is looking to land body kicks. Garnot waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wittmann. Garnot throws a leg kick but Wittmann moved away. Garnot feints and as Wittmann raises his hands in defense, Garnot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Garnot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wittmann looking for submissions from the bottom here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Wittmann wants to sweep here but Garnot controlling him for the moment. Garnot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wittmann swivels though and keeps the full guard. Garnot engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wittmann is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Garnot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wittmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garnot has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wittmann is proving hard to escape from. Garnot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wittmann has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garnot has managed to get both his arms back between Wittmann's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garnot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garnot postures up and lands a big shot to Wittmann's brow. Garnot controlling from the top position. Wittmann had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Garnot defends it easily. Wittmann keeping full guard, as Garnot tries to pass. Wittmann is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Garnot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Wittmann is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garnot defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garnot thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Biskane Garnot dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wittmann scores with a crisp jab that stopped Garnot in his tracks. A solid body kick from Garnot. Garnot throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wittmann is defended easily by Garnot. Wittmann swings for the body but Garnot moves out of range.
Garnot bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Wittmann misses with an uppercut. Garnot is trying to counter with his kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wittmann blocks the body kick.
Garnot has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A head kick misses from Wittmann. Garnot throws a sloppy head kick and Wittmann moves out of range easily. Garnot keeps Wittmann at a distance using the push kick. Wittmann swings widly with a right hand
and Garnot counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wittmann tries to land a body kick and Garnot counters with a solid body kick. Biskane Garnot seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Garnot throws out a powerful jab. A chopping leg kick lands by Garnot. Michael Wittmann is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wittmann has a takedown stuffed. Garnot lands with a slapping head kick. Garnot lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wittmann will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Garnot leaves Wittmann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Wittmann. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wittmann fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wittmann takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wittmann tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Garnot is able to avoid easily. Wittmann shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Garnot moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crunch! Garnot slams his shin into Wittmann's torso. Wittmann throws a lazy head kick and Garnot counters with a body kick that stops Wittmann in his tracks momentarily. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Garnot - that will leave a mark!

Garnot slips a straight right by Wittmann. Garnot lands with a right hand. A good leg kick by Garnot. Wittmann takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wittmann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garnot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Garnot fakes the leg kick and cracks Wittmann in the body. Garnot misses with a head kick.
Garnot throws a quick inside leg kick. Michael Wittmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wittmann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Garnot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wittmann shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wittmann closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Garnot felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Garnot tries to roll over but Wittmann keeps him under control. Wittmann looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Garnot pushes a forearm under Wittmann's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wittmann is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
