PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Tsuyoshi Tamatso (ranked 1982 p4p, 259 weight class) and Shin Murakami (ranked 17958 p4p, 730 weight class). Tamatso comes to the ring accompanied by The Storm by Bill Conti. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
33 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Tamatso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Murakami!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamatso scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Murakami to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
It looks like Shin Murakami has been cut.
Murakami misses with the body kick
and Tamatso counters with a straight right hand.

Murakami throws an off balance right hand
and before Murakami can reset, Tamatso rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Murakami is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
Murakami is rocked!
Murakami has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tamatso connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Murakami's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Murakami - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Tsuyoshi Tamatso!
A very excited looking Tsuyoshi Tamatso made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
