Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mirr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felix Inarritu!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inarritu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Mirr dives in and scores a takedown into Inarritu's guard.
Mirr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mirr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Inarritu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Inarritu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mirr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mirr wants to control from the top but Inarritu keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mirr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mirr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Inarritu is looking to regain half guard here but Mirr keeps moving and retains side control.

Mirr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Inarritu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Inarritu is not content to let Mirr control the position.
Inarritu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Inarritu tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mirr is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Inarritu has escaped the position, nice work there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mirr tries for a kimura but Inarritu is defending well.
Mirr is looking to take a break and control but Inarritu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mirr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Mirr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Inarritu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Inarritu is trying to control Mirr's posture but Mirr avoids it.

Mirr is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Inarritu has escaped the position, nice work there.
Inarritu tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mirr working the strikes but Inarritu uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Mirr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Inarritu's head.
Inarritu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Inarritu is defending against the submission attempts here by Mirr.
Inarritu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Inarritu.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mirr slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Mirr dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Mirr throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Inarritu counter with a right hand.
A jab from Mirr misses.
Mirr just misses with a punch to the body.
Inarritu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Mirr scores with a decent looking hook.
Inarritu avoids the body shot from Mirr.
Mirr throws a shot from downtown. Inarritu moves away and avoids it.
Frank Mirr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Inarritu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Inarritu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mirr.
A countering left hand to the body from Inarritu misses.
Mirr throws an off balance right hand
and Inarritu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mirr swings for the body but Inarritu moves out of range.
Mirr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looks like Frank Mirr has been cut.

Mirr closes the distance and pushes Inarritu back into the ropes.

Mirr is trying to maintain a safe position but Inarritu gets an underhook and turns Mirr into the ropes.
Mirr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Inarritu can do to turn this around?
Inarritu pushes Mirr back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Inarritu breaks from the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mirr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Inarritu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mirr swings widly with a right hand
and Inarritu counters with a right hand to the body.

Mirr misses with an uppercut
and Inarritu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Inarritu jabs at Mirr's body.
Mirr fails to land with a series of punches.
Mirr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Inarritu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Inarritu thuds his right hand into Mirr's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Felix Inarritu seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mirr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Inarritu defends it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mirr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Inarritu works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mirr throws a big shot that misses.
Inarritu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mirr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mirr takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mirr throws an off balance right hand
and Inarritu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Inarritu circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mirr to the canvas! Mirr doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Inarritu keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Felix Inarritu!
