Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denny Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Jeantet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denny Balls! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Jeantet! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeantet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Balls paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jeantet shoots in for a takedown but Balls shows good takedown defense. Balls throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Balls tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jeantet swivels and escapes. Balls has closed the distance and engaged Jeantet in a clinch.
Balls misses with a knee strike.
Balls pulls guard effortlessly. Jeantet postures up.
Balls throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jeantet uses it to pass to side control.
Balls is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jeantet looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Balls might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Balls trying to hold on to Jeantet's head to control him but Jeantet postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeantet missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jeantet is looking to take a break and control but Balls is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balls gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jeantet wants to control from the top but Balls keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Balls tries for a takedown but Jeantet sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jeantet stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denny Balls. That's going to take a lot out of him. Balls is breathing heavily. Jeantet shoots for a double leg takedown but Balls sprawls well. He's pushed Jeantet's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dennis Jeantet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Balls fails with an attempt to clinch.
Balls throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jeantet throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jeantet has his takedown stuffed and Balls counters with a three punch combo that has Jeantet backing up. Jeantet nods at Balls to acknowledge the strikes. Jeantet scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Jeantet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jeantet showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balls actively working from the bottom here. Jeantet has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Balls defend it? Jeantet steps over the head and cranks it - Balls is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jeantet!
