Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randall Lawson (ranked 5973 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Break (ranked 7941 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randall Lawson ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Break! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Break takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A swing and a miss from Lawson . Break gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lawson is trying to force a seperation but Break has the dominant position. Lawson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Break has Lawson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lawson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lawson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Break prevents it.
Lawson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Break after a bit of a struggle. Break is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Break pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Break is trying to hold Lawson in close to prevent damage but Lawson has managed to pass into half guard.
Break is looking for a sweep. Lawson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lawson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lawson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Break for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lawson prevents Break from improving his position. Lawson trying to mount his opponent but Break defends it. Lawson decides to stand and escape the position. Break closes the distance and pushes Lawson back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Break is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lawson to keep the fight standing. Randall Lawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Break. Lawson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lawson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Break manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lawson is working the ground and pound from guard. Lawson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Break to his feet. Break closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Break is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lawson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Break looks winded! Lawson has Break pushed against the cage. Break tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lawson smiles and moves away.

Lawson looks to score with a jab to the body but Break is just out of range. Randall Lawson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lawson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lawson is trying to keep Break in close.
Lawson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Break controls the pace. Lawson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Break's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lawson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lawson is stalling in the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lawson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lawson landing some decent shots from guard. Lawson sitting in guard here, content to control. Lawson wants to control from the top but Break keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lawson is really struggling to control Break but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Break wants to control but Lawson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lawson in particular looking to stall. Lawson continues to stall. Lawson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lawson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Lawson is landing with some decent strikes but Break is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Lawson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lawson controlling the pace for now. Lawson working the ground and pound effectively.

Lawson has his takedown stuffed and Break holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Break is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Break has hold of one of Lawson 's legs. Lawson is fighting the takedown attempt but Break gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lawson looking for subs off his back but Break has passed one foot through into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lawson is looking to clinch but Break is avoiding it.
Lawson tries to bum rush Break with a series of wild strikes but Break uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Break closes the distance and clinches. Break stalling against the cage.
Break unloads a knee to the mid-section. Break decides to pull guard. Lawson forces his way into half guard. Lawson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawson stands up and beckons Break to join him on the feet. Lawson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Break manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Break takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lawson sitting in guard here, content to control. Break looking for a guillotine here but Lawson defends easily.
Lawson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Break can do to turn this around?
