The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schubert shoots in for a takedown but Crawford shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Crawford has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Schubert tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A lazy left from Crawford finds it's target.

Crawford scores with a jab to the body.
Schubert tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crawford swivels and escapes.
Schubert tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crawford defends well and Schubert ends up having to push Crawford into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
