The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomachenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kirby sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lomachenko somewhat.
Kirby closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lomachenko to the mat! Lomachenko manages to get full guard.
Kirby postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Lomachenko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kirby defends well.
