Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Geoffrey Barr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Daniels has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barr is on him like a limpet, forcing Daniels back against the cage.
Daniels avoiding damage as Barr throws knees to the body.

Barr manages to break the clinch.

Barr gets the takedown into side control.

Daniels sneaks out the side door and pushes Barr away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Barr looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Daniels is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Barr pulls his head out easily.

Barr stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Barr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barr wants it to stay on the feet.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barr as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Barr counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Daniels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Daniels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Daniels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Daniels has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Barr is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jack Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Daniels, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Daniels shoots in but Barr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Daniels fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barr.

Barr gets caught napping as Daniels dives in and scores a takedown. Barr manages to retain guard.
Daniels wants to control from the top but Barr keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Daniels looking to sit in guard and control but Barr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Daniels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Daniels will probably get the nod.

Daniels fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Daniels is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Barr lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Daniels throws a right and a left that both miss.
Daniels shoots in looking for a takedown. Barr tries to sprawl out of it but Daniels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Barr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Barr is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Daniels.

Horrible takedown attempt by Daniels or perhaps it was just good defense by Barr, which made it look bad.

Barr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Daniels has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Barr off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Barr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daniels tries to avoid it but Barr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daniels to the ground. Daniels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Daniels with that takedown attempt.

Daniels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barr avoids it really well and circles away.
Barr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That was a close second round but I would say that Geoffrey Barr will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniels trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Daniels changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barr tries to avoid it but Daniels manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barr to the ground. Barr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barr takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Daniels tries a head kick but it misses.

Barr seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Daniels has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barr is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
