Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clemence Nassibu (ranked 5435 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Stroev (ranked 8335 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nassibu shoots in looking for a takedown but Stroev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nassibu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nassibu looks for the body kick but Stroev saw that one coming.
Nassibu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stroev swivels and escapes.

Nassibu appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Stroev moves into the clinch.
Nassibu is pressed up against the cage. Stroev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nassibu down to the mat. Nassibu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nassibu shoots in for a takedown but Stroev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clemence Nassibu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

so Stroev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
