Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl Denke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vicente Lafayette!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lafayette lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Denke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Denke takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Karl Denke has been cut.
Lafayette connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Denke's hands.
Denke is rocked!
Lafayette darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Denke's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Lafayette before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vicente Lafayette!
A determined Vicente Lafayette didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
