Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bronko Strunz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cuba Moretti!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moretti clinches.
Moretti fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Strunz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A short right from Strunz on the inside.

Strunz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Strunz.
Strunz missing with a left hand there. Moretti was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bronko Strunz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strunz lands an overhand right.
Moretti looks to land a combination but Strunz avoids it well.
Moretti is looking to clinch but Strunz is avoiding it.
Strunz throws a quick counter head kick but Moretti was just out of range.
Strunz lands with a thumping leg kick.
Moretti is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Moretti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Moretti moves in looking to clinch but Strunz pushes him off.

Moretti fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Strunz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Moretti tries to clinch there but Strunz circles away.
Strunz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Moretti if he has to take too many more of those.
Strunz goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moretti tries to clinch up but Strunz circles away and keeps his distance.
It looks like Strunz has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Strunz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Moretti throws out the jab.

Moretti tries to close the distance and clinch but Strunz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cuba Moretti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Strunz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Moretti has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Moretti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Strunz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Strunz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Strunz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Moretti's head.

and Moretti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Moretti fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moretti tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Strunz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Moretti throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Strunz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Moretti is looking to clinch but Strunz is avoiding it.
Strunz is looking to counter punch.
Strunz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Moretti slips under a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As Moretti backs away, Strunz returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Moretti's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Strunz motions for Moretti to come forward. Strunz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Strunz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Moretti is looking to clinch but Strunz is avoiding it.

Strunz connects with a body shot that sends Moretti's belly button to the back.
Moretti's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Strunz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moretti scrambles back to his feet.
Nice straight punches there by Strunz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Strunz.

Moretti tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Moretti might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Strunz lands a big right hand that drops Moretti! The killer instinct kicks in and Strunz finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Strunz!
