Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yordan Andonov (ranked 2518 p4p, 282 weight class) and Ben Turner (ranked 1213 p4p, 159 weight class). Yordan Andonov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ben Turner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yordan Andonov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ben Turner! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner's corner calls for a 1-2. Turner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Andonov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Turner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Turner closes the distance and clinches. Turner pushes Andonov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Turner creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Turner. Andonov is looking to take this one to the mat. Turner digs a right hand into Andonov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Andonov's gas tank. Turner content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Turner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Andonov backwards. Turner scores with a shoulder strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turner is pressed up against the cage. Andonov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Turner down to the mat. Turner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yordan Andonov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turner rushes Andonov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short left from Turner. Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Andonov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turner defends well and Andonov ends up having to push Turner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Turner appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Turner looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Andonov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turner defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner moves into range and clinches up with Andonov. Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Yordan Andonov has been cut. Ben Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andonov fails with the takedown. Turner jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Turner lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Turner lands with a shot to the body. Turner slaps away a takedown attempt from Andonov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner lands a big right hand that sends Andonov crashing to the mat! Turner stays standing though and waves Andonov back to his feet!
Andonov is rocked! Andonov is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Turner moves into the clinch. Still in the clinch, Turner scores with a nice short uppercut. Turner is pressed up against the cage. Andonov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Turner down to the mat. Turner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Andonov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turner finds it's way round the side to connect with Andonov's head. Oh Andonov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Andonov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Turner to score with a decent uppercut. Turner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Turner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Andonov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Andonov seems to have got his legs back now. Turner clinches. Andonov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Turner lands a nice shot that snaps Andonov's head back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andonov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Turner drops Andonov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Andonov looks back up at him and smiles so Turner waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Andonov darts in looking for a takedown but Turner gets double underhooks and turns Andonov into the cage. Turner closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Andonov! Turner dives in looking to finish! Andonov is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Turner! Ben Turner gave a mention to Red Light Coffeeshop in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
