Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geordie Power (ranked 766 p4p, 117 weight class) and Lakoj Dresden (ranked 2034 p4p, 290 weight class). Lakoj Dresden acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Geordie Power! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lakoj Dresden! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power misses with a wild body shot. Dresden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Power as he jumps to the side. Dresden gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Power counters with a nice body shot. A left lands for Dresden. Power connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dresden momentarily.
Power misses the shot to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Power, as that shot connected.
Power takes a swing at Dresden's ribcage but misses. Power lands with a shot to the body. Power looks to land a right hand but Dresden moved out of range. Power fails to land with a series of punches.
Power throws a sloppy body shot
and Dresden counters with a stiff right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dresden misses with a two punch combination.
Power lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dresden avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dresden tries to clinch but Power is having none of it. Dresden has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Geordie Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Power throws a hook to the side of Dresden's head but Dresden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Power is looking to wear down Dresden with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Dresden moves forwards but Power connects with a nice, crisp jab. Power's corner calls for a 1-2. Power obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Power looks to land a left hand but Dresden moved out of range nicely. As Power backs off Dresden throws a huge counter combo but Power manages to avoid it all. Power paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. No luck for Dresden with that takedown attempt. Geordie Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lakoj Dresden. Dresden takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A low kick from Power is predictable there and Dresden decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Power's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Power has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dresden off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nice uppercut there from Power.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dresden throws a right and a left that both miss. Power swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Power throws a leg kick but Dresden checks it. Power looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Power throws a leg kick so Dresden counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Power looking for a sweep. Not yet Power, not yet. Power controlling the position. Power working a defensive guard here.
Power utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Power tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power keeping moving, preventing Dresden from controlling successfully. Power on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Power tries to get out of the position. Power utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Power controls Dresden momentarily but Dresden frees himself. Dresden wants to control from the top but Power keeps moving. Dresden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dresden postures up in Power's guard and throws a big left but Power blocks it. Dresden is looking to work some ground and pound but Power has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Power wants to stand and escape but Dresden is having none of it. Dresden is pushing down on Power's leg trying to pass to half guard. Power is fighting to maintain full guard but Dresden has managed to sneak the leg through. Dresden is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Power sees it coming and defends easily. Dresden decides to stand and escape the position. Dresden takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Power throws a solid leg kick but Dresden takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Power. Power lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dresden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dresden won't allow Power to get back to his feet. Dresden is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Geordie Power dominated that round. That's time! Power's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Power misses the shot to the body. Dresden lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Dresden has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Power misses with a low kick. Dresden checks a leg kick nicely. A slapping leg kick lands for Power.
It looks like Power has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. A looping hook to the body misses from Power. Dresden does a little dance to reset his feet. Dresden tries for a takedown but Power circles away easily and Power counters with a straight right hand. Dresden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Power just misses with a punch to the body.
Dresden drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Power defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Power misses with a body shot.
Power misses with a kick to the body and Dresden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dresden. Power misses with a short punch on the inside. Power struggles to land a body shot inside as Dresden controls his hands.
Dresden has clasped his hands together around Power's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Power sneaks out the side door and pushes Dresden away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dresden gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Power lands a hook to the side of the head. Power lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dresden backwards. Power softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Power misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dresden.
Power misses with some punches.
Dresden is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Power misses with a hook from the clinch. Dresden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Power avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Geordie Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lakoj Dresden. Nice elbow from Power. Dresden blocking some punches.
Dresden prevents a body shot from Power. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dresden. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dresden is looking to break free of the clinch but Power has double underhooks. Dresden goes for a takedown in the clinch but Power prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dresden is working for takedown but Power is calmly controlling the position for now. Dresden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Power connects with a body shot that sends Dresden's belly button to the back. Dresden walks into a straight right hand from Power. A bone on bone clash there as Dresden blocks the leg kick.
Dresden swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Geordie Power is winning the standup battle so far. Power scores with a jab to the body. Dresden takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dresden with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Power to score with a decent uppercut. Dresden closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Sloppy strikes from Dresden. Those never looked like landing. Dresden avoids the head kick by Power.
Dresden takes one on the button. Power throws a leg kick but Dresden sees it coming and checks it nicely. Dresden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Power's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power is looking to stand up but Dresden isn't so interested in that idea. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dresden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dresden is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dresden is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dresden looking to pass the guard. Dresden loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dresden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dresden postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lakoj Dresden has got the better of the ground game so far. Power scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Dresden lands a glancing blow to the side of Power's head. Dresden dives in and grabs Power's left leg, looking for a takedown. Power pushes down on Dresden's head and hops out. Dresden fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Power on the side of the head. Lakoj Dresden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dresden is trying hard to land a takedown here. Power sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Power keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Power throwing a counter right hand but Dresden manages to avoid it. An inside leg kick lands from Power. Power throws a poor cross that misses
and Dresden holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Power prevents a takedown attempt there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Geordie Power dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dresden is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Power is looking for a sweep. Dresden is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Power is staying active underneath Dresden, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Power trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Dresden manages to pass to mount!
Power has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Dresden's lack of action.
Power won't allow Dresden to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Power is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dresden scores with a couple of nice shots. Power knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dresden on the ground. Power looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dresden trying to control the pace. Power is in trouble now - Dresden has advanced to mount! Dresden looking to finish Power with some ground and pound. This is bad for Power! Lakoj Dresden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Power tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dresden lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dresden lands a heavy elbow. Power is looking to get to half guard. Dresden lands a big shot there that rocks Power but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Geordie Power is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dresden punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Power tries to hold on but Dresden postures up. Dresden is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Power can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dresden sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Power tries to reverse the position but Dresden maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Lakoj Dresden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Power has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
