Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Wood (ranked 5371 p4p, 635 weight class) and King Murhaa (ranked 3948 p4p, 518 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Murhaa!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murhaa takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wood has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The PIT Hawaiian Kempo in the buildup to the fight.
Murhaa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Marcus Wood has been cut.
Murhaa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wood moves away.
Murhaa digs a good body shot into Wood's ribs.

Murhaa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Murhaa moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Wood.
Wood is trying to escape the position but Murhaa is controlling the position.
It looks like Murhaa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murhaa tries to advance to mount but Wood denies him.
A lull in the action here as Murhaa stalls from top position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murhaa controlling the position easily from mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
BOOM! Murhaa connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Wood tries to hold on but Murhaa pushes him away.

Murhaa stands up from mount. Strange move.
Murhaa keeps the fight on the outside.
Wood cracks Murhaa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Murhaa cracks Wood with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Murhaa drops his shoulder and cracks Wood with a huge uppercut! Wood goes down! Can Murhaa finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murhaa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wood is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Murhaa showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Murhaa scores with a sloppy right hand. Wood should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Murhaa dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Murhaa throws a right hand that misses
and Wood counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Murhaa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wood is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Murhaa asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Murhaa controls the position from side control.
Murhaa tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wood's legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murhaa controls the position.
King Murhaa has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wood throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Murhaa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Murhaa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wood is letting Murhaa control him for a moment.
Wood is looking to regain half guard here but Murhaa keeps moving and retains side control.
Murhaa content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Let's hope that Murhaa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The adventures of Murhaa the control monster continue. Boring.
Murhaa moves into full mount!
Murhaa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Murhaa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wood manages to avoid the submission attempt.
My spies in Prototype's Dojo inform me that Murhaa has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The referee asks Murhaa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Murhaa prefers to stall for the moment though.

Wood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Murhaa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
A lull in the action here.
Murhaa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Murhaa advances to mount.
Murhaa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Murhaa.
Murhaa lands a heavy elbow.


Marcus Wood's cut is getting worse.
Murhaa controlling the pace for now.
Murhaa raining down shots from the mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Murhaa controlling his opponent.

King Murhaa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Marcus Wood's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Wood has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Murhaa has passed into side control.
Oh Wood is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Murhaa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Murhaa stands up and beckons Wood to his feet.
Murhaa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Murhaa ducks under a wild hook from Wood.

Murhaa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wood's half guard.
Wood tries to kick Murhaa off in order to stand up. Murhaa Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Wood tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Murhaa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wood is looking for a sweep.
Murhaa tries to advance to mount but can't.
The referee asks Murhaa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Murhaa prefers to stall for the moment though.

Wood tries to hold on but Murhaa postures up.

King Murhaa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

King Murhaa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Murhaa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
