PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Practice Test (ranked 3083 p4p, 344 weight class) and Hector Henry Yonic (ranked 1868 p4p, 228 weight class). Test comes into the arena with For your entertainment blaring out of the sound system. Practice Test had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Practice Test!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Henry Yonic!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Test missing with a left hand there. Yonic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Yonic swats away the attempt to clinch by Test.
Yonic misses with a body shot.
Test lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Test throws a push kick but Yonic slaps the foot to one side.
Test tries to clinch up but Yonic circles away and keeps his distance.
Yonic changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yonic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Test is looking to clinch but Yonic is avoiding it.

Yonic gets tackled into the cage by Test. Test maintains the clinch.
Test lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Yonic jumps guard and drags Test to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Test is sitting in close to Yonic's body. Yonic has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Test is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Test is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Yonic.
