1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vacant Championship! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Championship takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Israel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Championship. Israel appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Championship misses with a series of wild punches.
Championship stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Championship wants it to stay on the feet. Israel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Israel swats away the attempt to clinch by Championship. Israel throws a right and a left that both miss. Championship leaves Israel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Israel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Championship but Championship pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chai Israel. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Israel moves forwards but Championship connects with a nice, crisp jab. Championship throws a sloppy head kick and Israel moves out of range easily. Israel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Israel shoots in looking for a takedown but Championship manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Israel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Championship lands with a nice combination. Israel backs away looking to recover. Vacant Championship seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Israel closes the distance and clinches. Israel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Championship throws a body shot but no joy. Championship rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Israel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Championship looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A solid leg kick lands there for Championship.

Israel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Israel shoots in looking for a takedown. Championship tries to sprawl out of it but Israel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Championship manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Israel shoots for a takedown but Championship saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

It looks like Chai Israel has been cut. Championship lands with a shot to the body. Championship looks to land a combination but Israel avoids it well. Israel looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Championship connects with a body shot that sends Israel's belly button to the back. Israel closes the distance and pushes Championship back into the cage. Israel lands a knee to the body.
Israel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Championship avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Israel is breathing heavily. Israel is trying to drag Championship to the mat but Championship just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Championship dodges an elbow strike from Israel.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Israel pulls Championship in to control the position. Israel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Israel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Israel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Championship wants to hit a switch here but Israel passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Championship there! Championship working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Israel controlling his opponent. Israel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Israel sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Championship wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Israel.

Israel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Championship is looking to escape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Israel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Championship is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Israel goes for a double leg but Championship avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Championship continues to drive forward. Championship is trying hard to land a takedown here. Israel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Israel goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
